Dog and cat at a vets

With a combined veterinary experience of over 25 years (nearly 50 if you include the nurses!), we have seen the increasing number of corporate veterinary businesses over the last decade. We think there is a different way, a traditional way, where you and your pet are treated as individuals.

We believe that routine care is important, so we have designed The Village Plan to help to budget for this. We also recommend that your pet is insured to cover for any unexpected illnesses. We are partnered with VetSure Pet Insurance. Although we aim to provide treatment at a fair price, this can still be expensive depending on the level of care your pet requires.

At Milnrow Village Vets, your pet will be cared for as part of our extended family.

We believe that it is essential to help to train the next generation of Vets and Vet Nurses, so we do accept students on placement. They may be involved in the treatment of your pet under supervision of a fully qualified professional.

From just a check up to illnesses, your pet will be treated by fully qualified and experienced staff.

It is a legal requirement to microchip dogs (and soon cats).

We can also check chips to ensure that your details are up to date on the database.

Vaccinations are an essential part of keeping your pet healthy.

As part of their annual vaccinations, your pet will receive a nose to tail examination and you have chance to discuss any concerns with our vets.

From preventative surgery (neutering pets) to wound repair, our team have a wealth of experience in the common conditions we see. If we feel that your pet needs more specialist care, we will discuss referral options with you as appropriate.

From routine dental check ups and advice from our nurses to extraction of teeth, we offer a wide range of services.
Prevention is better than cure, so please get in touch to book your free dental check with our nurses.

Our emergency out of hours cover is provided by Armac Veterinary Clinic in Bury.
